Practice with Pronouns is a tool to help people who are learning to use a “new” pronoun by typing it in various sentences.

CEI: Clinical Education Initiative, a New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute program, offers free CME to enhance the capacity of New York’s diverse healthcare workforce to deliver clinical services to improve health outcomes related to HIV, Sexual Health, Hepatitis C (HCV) and Drug User Health (DUH).

The National LGBT Health Education Center, a program of the Fenway Institute, provides educational programs, resources, and consultation to health care organizations with the goal of optimizing quality, cost-effective health care for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, and all sexual and gender minority (LGBTQIA+) people.

OnTrackNY is an innovative treatment program for adolescents and young adults who have had unusual thoughts and behaviors, or who have started hearing or seeing things that others don’t.

HealthHIV advances effective prevention, care, support, and health equity for people living with, or at risk for, HIV/AIDS and hepatitis C — particularly with LGBT and other underserved communities — by providing education, capacity building, health services research, and advocacy to organizations, communities and professionals.

Beyond Conflict: Developing Leaders and Transforming Culture Beyond Conflict works with organizations to customize a training/discussion based on your organization’s needs. They have experience with non-profits who serve the LBGTQ+ community and examining mission statements, values, policies, and practices to ensure accountability and integrating an antiracist lens to work done.

AORTA offers Uprooting White Supremacy in Organizations training to individuals and organizations. They also offer facilitator training.
In-Person Trainings

The National LGBT Cancer Center has designed a nationally acclaimed LGBT Cultural Competency Curriculum for health and human service providers. Their curriculum can be adapted and tailored to fit the needs of your facility. Additionally, they offer Train the Trainer workshops that address principles of individual change and the use of the curriculum components.

This Cultural Competency training is for providers of aging services on how to address the needs of older LGBT adults. It covers a basic explanation of concepts, information about unique challenges and legal issues faced by older LGBT adults, Best Practices for creating a supportive environment, and a Q&A.
